Digital TV usability

Matt Jones found this usability rap-on-knuckles report about digital TV. Not surprisingly disparaging as DTV is a bitch to use and probably always will be until someone re-invents the square-peg-in-a-round-hole remote control unit.

Like the first computer interface was just a keyboard – a hangover from the analogue typewriter, the Digital TV remote is trying to take an interface for changing channels and volume into a controller for a basic computer... there's a comment on the linked page that says this better.
